Elves and Fairies – Introduction

OK, I’ve skirted this long enough.

I’ve used the word “elven” in a few of my recent posts, so it’s time I came out of the closet.

You can’t really understand the ‘big picture,’ IMO, if you don’t recognize that there were a people (more like a “race”) who were thrown from power and eventually exterminated.  The ‘desposyni,’ that is, the descendants of Christ and his immediate family, intermarried with these “elven” families, and not only were they exterminated along with them, it was BECAUSE the desposyni became synonymous with the elven bloodlines that they were all targeted.

The Albigensian Crusade, a 35 year killing spree sponsored by the Catholic Church in the 13th century, marked their official end – but their demise had been in the works for centuries prior, and continued centuries after.

Nicholas de Vere wrote a chapter about this campaign.  He titled it, ‘The Thousand Year Elven Holocaust.’

I’m not done with this, not near, but I wanted to post this introduction so that readers would have a chance to read de Vere’s piece and not skip over it.
